About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include:
Supporting the Finance Manager with accurate and timely processing of the accounting requirements of the business
Preparation of activity statements and other monthly returns
Accounting for fixed assets
Assisting in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, month end reports, annual budgets, and other financial packs for the management team
Provide backup and support to the administration officer during workload fluctuations or annual leave cover (eg: payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, revenue reconciliation)
This is a Part Time position (20-30 hours per week) with flexibility regarding the hours and days worked, with attractive remuneration commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience.
About You
You will be an experienced Assistant Accountant who has a passion for ensuring the numbers are correct and understanding the big picture when compiling and presenting reports to management.
You will have an excellent understanding and practical application of accounting/finance functions.
You have the ability to work well autonomously and within a team and have the skills to work within required deadlines.
The Musts
Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or extensive on-the-job experience.
2 years’ experience in a similar role
Good understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills
Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
Hold a Working with Children’s Check and Police Check (or willingness to undertake these)
