What your day will look like:
• Processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll on an end to end basis to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time each pay period. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll-related information / requirements for payroll setting up personnel in payroll and time and attendance systems, processing personnel forms, transferring data into payroll system. • Manage the delivery of areas of payroll including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG and Workers Compensation. • Manage timely and accurate reporting to support the business. • Develop and implement procedures, actively work with current legislation and be complaint as required. • Ensuring all relevant awards are adhered to. • Communicate effectively with all levels in the business including store teams and senior management. • Ensuring timely responses to all payroll enquiries both verbally and in writing. • Working collaboratively with the payroll team and the rest of the business to effectively and efficiently process pay • Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement • Assist the preparation of reporting relating to the annual workers compensation cycles • Assist in the administration of the company credit cards, including setting up new users and monthly accounting and reporting of user spend • Monthly reconciliation of payroll related balance sheet accounts
About you! The ideal candidate will have: • Demonstrated experience processing a high-volume payroll in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of ADP/Kronos is preferred, knowledge of payroll systems and time and attendance is required • Experience or understanding of multi-sit environments • Experience in award interpretation and application would be highly regarded • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics • Ideally CA or CPA qualified, or partially qualified • Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience • Experience in retail or FMCG environment (preferable, not required) • Experience in using Jedox, Microsoft Dynamics (preferable, not required) • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
