The technician role would be ideal for someone who has recently finished Year 12 or is currently studying at University with a passion for technology. While having considerable experience with technology (e.g., computer repairs) and customer service would be a bonus, we are also interested in candidates who may have less experience in the industry. If you are someone who is motivated to learn and eager to progress, we wish to provide a supportive learning environment in which you can do so.
As part of the technician role, you will be required, but not limited to: • Assisting customers with troubleshooting and answering queries; • New computer assembly and builds; • Computer repairs and upgrades; • Virus/spyware prevention and removal; • Basic troubleshooting and diagnosis of tech issues; • Install and support a broad range of software, including: - Phone and tablet repairs; - Computer and laptop sales; - On-site service.
To be successful in this role, you will need: • Experience in computer hardware, assembly, and builds; • Exceptional customer service skills; • Fantastic communication skills; • particularly the ability to simplify tech jargon into plain English; • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail; • Strong drive to succeed in a team environment; • Availability to work around 16 hours per week.
