We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance and Administration Team. This full-time position reports to the Accountant and will be responsible for performing the following key functions – Accounts Payable Support – Supporting the Accounts Payable Team with supplier invoice processing, filing and reconciliations Payroll Support – Assisting the Payroll Officer with general payroll processing and reporting requirements General Accounting Duties – preparing basic accounting reconciliations and journals as directed by the Accountant, assisting in Fixed Asset accounting and reporting and assisting in the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reporting Contracts Administration Maintenance – assisting in maintaining a contracts database and reporting key changes In a "Nutshell", we need someone who cares about what they do and possess the skills to succeed. Practical experience in a similar accounts support role MS Office applications, including strong MS Excel skills Preferred experience with SAGE GL and Payroll (Keypay) packages Excellent communication skills and customer service focus Demonstrated understanding of operating within a growing and fast-moving business, preferably in distribution, supply chain and logistics environments The ideal candidate must be a team player who is able to apply a “hands on” approach and take responsibility for key tasks and deliver results.
