About The Role
Be part of an innovative team developing the next generation of smart diffusers for an international market.
Develop and implement robust, scalable building automation software.
Program custom building automation software for bespoke solutions.
Provide technical support for solutions implemented internationally.
Provide technical assistance during the pre-sales stage internationally.
Testing products in fully equipped laboratory and in-situ environments.
Test programs to ensure both the software and mechanical aspects are aligned and working correctly.
Statistical and data analysis including regressions, visualisations, and summaries.
Work with our overseas factory on product implementation.
Liaise effectively with remote programming Team Lead.
Programming using Structured Text, Ladder Logic and State Functional Charts to execute the control of a mechanical system.
The role will be primarily programming centred. Programming proficiency, a logical approach to problem solving and careful attention to detail will be essential in this position.
Developing innovative solutions with our mechanical engineering team.

Key skills, qualifications and attributes
Required
Degree in: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience in C programming.
Experience in SCADA or PLC programming.
Ability to learn quickly, independently and expand one’s own skill set.
Well-developed analytical & research skills.
Excellent interpersonal, oral & written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment with a hands-on approach to the role.
Passion for creative and elegant problem solving.
A probing approach that delivers on the detail.
Beneficial
3-5 years’ relevant working experience.
Experience in Niagara based control platforms (especially JACE and Schneider controllers).
Experience in PLC systems, microprocessors or IOT devices.
Python, HTML, or VBA programming experience.
Previous exposure to HVAC systems, app development, Modbus or BACnet.
Previous experience developing a product or solution from concept to completion.
Superior Excel skills.
