Main Responsibilities of the role are- • Analysing, examining financial information and preparing and forming accurate and complete financial statements, budgets, reports, balance sheets, business activity statements (BAS) and profit and loss statements. • Preparing asset, liability, and capital account reports by compiling and analysing account information by ensuring compliance and adherence to legislation requirements. • Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of business equipment, capital financing. • Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements. • Responsible for liaising activities with the Australian Taxation Office for all matters including GST, FBT, TFN, ABN, disputes, penalties and interest charges. • Establishing annual and monthly budgets alongside the management. • Providing financial advice on business structures, plans and operations. • Working with the external accountant in regards to complex taxation matters. • Utilising accounting software (QuickBooks) to perform monthly and yearly closing procedures. Must Have – • Master’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration. • More than 3 years of experience in accounting field, preferably with a similar sized dental practise or boutique medical centres.
