Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 1-3 years

Job Description:- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations May select and train staff May freeze and preserve foods Requirement: AQF level 2 criteria Graduates at this level will have basic factual, technical and procedural knowledge of a defined area of work and learning. Graduates at this level will have basic cognitive, technical and communication skills to apply appropriate methods, tools, materials and readily available information to: undertake defined activities provide solutions to a limited range of predictable problems -Graduates at this level will apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy and limited judgement in structured and stable contexts and within narrow parameters.
