Responsibilities • An Auto Electrician performs several duties and responsibilities throughout their workday. Perform Diagnostic Electrical Tests As Needed • Undertake Electrical Repairs On Various Vehicles • Install New Interior Electrical Systems • Test Headlight Alignment And Intensity • Operate Hand And Power Tools • Installing new vehicle wiring systems. • Installing and troubleshooting immobilizer and alarm systems. • Gathering information from customers about issues with their electrical system. • Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action. • Providing customers with estimated time and cost for repairs. • Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems. • Servicing of electrical automotive parts. • Servicing and repairing electrical systems on agricultural vehicles. • Maintaining a clean working environment. • Completing job reports and processing paperwork. • Skills • Ability to diagnose electrical malfunctions within automotive systems • Strong attention to detail • Analytical skills • Complex problem solving • Ability to install electrical systems • Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical wiring • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment • Ability to work in a changing environment
