Job requirements

Educational requirements: Diploma or trade qualification

English requirements: Competent English

Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 3-5 years

Accept remote work: unacceptable

Responsibilities: • Ensure that crop treatments are carried out as per established procedures and operators are trained to discharge their respective duties. • Liaise with Farm Manager regarding crop treatments. • Liaise with maintenance division regarding maintenance of plant and equipment. • Ensure all methods of crop treatments are done as per standard procedures. • Planning for the pre-plant, fertiliser application, broadcasting of fertilizer and boom spraying of chemicals. • Ensure the weather conditions are suitable to perform the required task to achieve the best efficacy. • Monitor operations to ensure work quality. • Manage stock of fertilisers and chemicals. Requirements: • A relevant AQF Certificate IV and 1 year of relevant experience (20 hours per week). • Experience as a Horticulture Manager/Farm Supervisor is preferred. • Excellent communication skills. • Knowledge and experience in agricultural production principles. • Ability to supervise staff, contractors, and seasonal workers. • Experience in operation and use of farm machinery.
