Job requirements

Educational requirements: Diploma or trade qualification

English requirements: Competent English

Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 3-5 years

Accept remote work: unacceptable

Responsibilities : • All facets of manufacturing and installing detailed joinery – kitchens and commercial and residential cabinetry • Producing pieces of cabinetry by marking out, cutting and shaping various materials as required • Assembly of cabinetry and checking of work for quality assurance • Reading shop drawings and ensuring accurate processing of materials • Working with various materials such as particle board, timber and veneers etc. • Fitting of associated hardware such as hinges, locks, drawers etc. • Repair of cabinetry as required • Surface finishing of materials as required • Making joinery items where fine detail may be required including furniture frames etc. • Adhering to all work health and safety (WHS) best practice Requirements: • Relevant Certificate III or IV plus 2 years relevant experience • 3 years relevant experience in substitution for the qualification • A drivers licence and Construction White Card • A high attention to detail • Natural problem-solving skills • Good organizational and time management skills • Good hand-eye coordination
