Key Responsibilities:
Provide maintenance support to the Kyndalyn Park Workshop Maintenance Manager and assist with ensuring Workshops are maintained in a safe working condition.
Carry out services and repairs following service checklists with reference to manuals, AUS Standards, Regulations and company procedures. Maintain and file all records on all services and repairs provided.
Make available upon request manuals and information on machinery and equipment.
Monitor all equipment to assist in determining the timing of preventative maintenance.
Communicate regularly with other Managers, staff and contractors.
Assist field staff in the performance of their duties to achieve optimum efficiency.
Communicate with Managers to develop a co-operative and harmonious work environment.
Assist in maintaining an adequately stocked storeroom.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring all staff are completing daily checklists and report all comments to the Maintenance Manager.
Assist with security procedures for all parts, tools, machinery and equipment.
Assist with maintaining accurate records, including travel time, on all services provided. The Company policy to utilize fully serviced Rental - -- Plant and Equipment at Select Harvests requires a Programme of co-ordination of Record control and performance assessment to be generated and transmitted through the Operations Manager to the Rental Company.
Report on all unsafe machinery, equipment or infrastructure.
Assist with the completion of regular stocktakes as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
Perform farm operation duties when required, i.e.: tractor driving, operate a telehandlers, land preparation including harrowing, buck raking, x-planning, discing etc.
Undertake training as required.
Perform out of normal hours and weekend work as necessary or as directed by the Farm Manager/2IC/Maintenance Manager or during the nominated harvest period, the Operations Manager.
To be aware within the horticultural industry and implement best horticultural practices.
Ensure all Occupational Health and Safety procedures are followed, that Select Harvests policies are implemented and all staff adhere to the Quality Assurance System Program and Training Program
