Responsibilities:
• Preparing, supervising, and approving the development and its implementation, plus ensuring properly documented throughout the life of the project including Project Close-out. • Managing the construction effort and being the construction representative of our company with our clients. • Planning, developing, and organising the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget, and to implement the execution of that plan. • Implementation of the scope of work as related to construction/fabrication, pre-commissioning, load-out, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the facilities in conformance with project specifications, Scope of Work, in accordance with the approved Project Schedule. • Monitoring and reporting on project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner. • Ensuring all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented. • Hiring contractors and other staff, as well as defining clear roles and responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of scope and schedule to all team members. • Reviewing man-hours and duration forecasts to completion.
• Monitoring construction productivity and schedule performance and investigating reasons for shortcomings. Providing recommendations and instituting measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions. • Adhering to company safety standards and promoting safety culture throughout the company and projects. • The negotiation of contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements. • Determining and coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment. • Arranging submission of plans to local authorities, including obtaining permits and licenses as required. • Supervising the work of labourers, sub-contractors, and trades to ensure a high standard of workmanship.
