Responsibilities:
• Ownership, accountability, and responsibility for all aspects of the fleet Operations. • Responsible to the Operations Manager and Directors • Maintain safety, environment and quality outcomes and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. • Work with the field team to effectively manage the scheduling of fleet, • Work closely with the management team to improve performance and continually increase fleet productivity and reduction of costs. • Ensure all vehicles are serviced and repaired to an operationally safe level. • Develop and nurture a culture of inclusion, learning, teamwork and team engagement.
Requirements:-
• This role calls for a Fleet Manager who is driven to succeed through team engagement and an understanding of principles that underpin excellence in vehicle fleet operations. • You enjoy being hands on, thrive under pressure, can manage change and work with a team your team to find solutions to the day to day challenges, whilst ensuring safe work practice. • A minimum of 4 years previous experience in a similar role at management level involving transport scheduling, labour allocating and maintenance scheduling activities • Awareness of government regulatory requirements • Completion of any relevant tertiary Transport, Management or Business courses is an advantage • Willing to get hands dirty when required and lead from the front • Strong leadership qualities, including people and time management skills • Highly motivated and organised to set and achieve goals • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • KPI and customer focused with the ability to perform under pressure • Exceptional people and time management skills & the ability to prioritise competing tasks • Ability to multi task and adapt in a fast paced environment • Attention to detail and highly organised • Strong ability to prioritise and manage time and workloads • Possess high level computer literacy including experience with Microsoft applications • Able to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical and police check.
