Responsibilities:
determining construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures organising and directing site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities obtaining soil and rock samples at different depths across sites and testing samples to determine strength, compressibility and other factors that affect the behaviour of soil and rock when a structure is imposed and determining the safe loading for the soil studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs analysing structural systems for both static and dynamic loads designing structures to ensure they do not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate in undesirable ways assessing present and future travel flow patterns taking into account population increase and needs change Interpreting architectural / engineered truss drawings. Quoting and designing of floor trusses, according to customer requirements, blueprints, and engineered specifications. Carrying out the detailing works for Wall frames, posi struts and roof trusses. Liaising with sales team and provide customer service to trade customers Ensuring all enquiries/concerns are followed up within required time frames Coordinating with construction team by providing necessary details for site installation work. Visiting the site occasionally for reliable and accurate site measure or co-ordination Evaluating the details in the construction drawings, product drawings and client requirements as per C&M Identifying the deficiencies in the documents and coordinate with relevant parties to make the necessary changes. Checking the documents as per BCA regulation, and compliance regulations. Providing shop drawings for structural steel or required details for structural steel installers. Using detailing software, design models as per architectural drawings. Communication with engineers, architects, and contractors regarding project details prior to and during construction. Perform any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
2+ years experience in a similar position Hold Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Proficient in DataBuild and project management software. Knowledge of Auto Cad. Knowledge of BCA & R-Codes, OHS, and building regulation. Strong team player and positive can-do attitude. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Knowledge in completing construction documentation and tender documentation. A demonstrated ability to meet timeframes.
