Melbourne-based architectural practice seeks one full-time architect
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in the design of residential and commercial building projects in accordance with client needs, project requirements and relevant Australian building codes;
- Assist with conceptual design, schematic design, design development and the preparation of construction drawings;
- Use relevant software to produce architectural drawings and design documents;
- Liaise with clients, project managers, engineers, planning consultants and the construction team to ensure design solutions meet project requirements;
- Assist in preparing town planning applications, building permit applications and related approval documents;
- Amend and refine design drawings in response to client feedback, government feedback and project progress;
- Participate in the organisation of project materials, the archiving of drawings and the management of design documentation;
Job Requirements:
- A degree in Architectural Design, Architecture, Architectural Drafting or a related discipline;
- Relevant work experience in architectural design, residential design, commercial design or architectural drafting;
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign;
- Knowledge of Australian architectural design processes, planning approval procedures or building permit processes would be an advantage;
- Strong ability to express ideas through drawings, spatial awareness and aesthetic judgement;
