ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a motivated marketing all-rounder with a focus on digital? Do you love exploring creative and engaging ways to bring communications to life? Are you passionate about supporting local communities? We're seeking a creative thinker who can plan, create and deliver marketing and communications projects and campaigns. This role sits within the Experience and Publishing Team, within the Communications Unit. The Communications Officer will deliver proactive and effective communications, with the aim of educating and building brand awareness for Moreland City Libraries and other Council programs and initiatives. This role’s time will be split with 2 days per week focusing on library activities and programs, and 2 days per week supporting general marketing and communications in Council’s Communications team, including digital communications, social media content and other marketing activities.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE
Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, marketing or a related discipline with some communications and publications experience; or a lesser qualification with substantial relevant experience in the field of communications.
Demonstrated experience in creating and publishing content across various channels, with the aim to change behaviour.
Experience in developing communication plans, measuring targets and implementing improvements based on findings.
Experience in working in complex environments and working with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in contributing to digital strategy and improving reach and engagement.
