We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Data Scientist to join our team working from our factory at Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. The Data Scientist will work across all areas of the business and build and implement models to provide statistical analysis to assist management in making informed decisions to strengthen and grow our business. This role requires strong mathematical modelling, coding, critical reasoning, and attention to detail. Responsibilities • Deploying data-based solutions to propose solutions to business challenges and ensure the quality and functionality of the different business units. • Using data science techniques such as statistical modelling and machine learning to recommend useful business insights from structured and unstructured data. • Performing custom analysis by creating algorithms and predictive models to manipulate large data sets to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusions to inform strategic business decisions. • Analysing and investigating business process to identify opportunities for improvement and recommending optimal business practices. • Communicate and work with users to design data solutions to support the decision-making process and drive business solutions. • Using Project Management principles to conduct Data initiatives and develop project plans considering resources and costs. • Serve as a centralised information source assisting the decision-making process and being able to present information using data visualisation techniques. Skills and Experience • Strong Python and SQL coding skills • Experience using machine learning techniques and developing algorithms • Proven experience building and implementing predictive models which have been operationalised • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment • Degree qualified in engineering and/or Data Science
