About the role
The role will be integral in supporting the finance team and general financial health of the company . You will be required to provide financial information to other departments, enabling these departments to make budgeting and investment decisions. This role also requires you to do reports on costs, productivity, margins and company expenditures.
This is a permanent full time position based at our Thebarton office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Site point of contact for accounting queries
Business partnering with department heads on spend and forecasts.
End to end Monthly reporting including balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany imbalance, balance sheet fluctuations, department spend.
Act as finance verifier for physical inventory stock-takes, GRN Suspense
GRIR Suspense and Inventory Reconciliations
Responsible for Debtors and Creditors
Ensure all Fixed Assets are counted once every 5 years, review capital spending requisitions (CPAs) and support capital tracking.
Provide support and guidance to site while putting together capital requests.
Assisting with forecasting activities including budget, latest estimate, capital, and restructuring.
Preparation of indirect tax filings including GST and FBT.
Maintenance of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors regarding compliance.
Provide regular financial compliance training to site on T&E.
Preparation of indirect tax filings including GST and FBT.
Processing weekly & monthly payroll and payroll Journals
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, finance or business (desirable)
5 years of work experience as a Financial Accountant (desirable)
In-depth knowledge of procure to pay cycle, general ledger and financial accounting principles
Capability to supervise others in completing tasks mentioned in point 1
Experience with forecasting and planning activities
Understanding of the internal control environment (experience with SOX procedures preferred)
Understanding of indirect taxes including GST, FBT and payroll tax.
