Our client is a leading provider of GPS tracking systems to the transport industry in Australia. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic Application Support Analyst to join a growing service desk support team based in Mulgrave. The primary purpose of this role is to be the key contact point between technical and field services staff and external customers. This position is responsible for providing technical support to both internal and external customers and staff. This Entry Level role is the perfect stepping stone to transform your IT career! Great company with career progression opportunities Rotating schedule between 7am and 8pm (no weekends) Permanent position Flexible working ‘2 days in office 3 days remote' Training provided This well known progressive company currently has requirements for a highly motivated service desk operators. We need to find enthusiastic and resourceful people who can operate well in an established and busy service desk support team. Responsibilities: Respond to external customer queries and requests within limited time and service agreements Provide appropriate technical solutions to customers within service agreements Undertake root cause analysis and escalate to developers for permanent fix Monitor system performance and address issues raised, or risk identified Communicate job related information appropriately to external parties including customers and contractors e.g., email, degree of formality and presentation Negotiate and solve any customer related issues and complaints to a satisfactory outcome What are we looking for: Energetic & results-orientated self-starter An effective team player who values and builds strong relationships Strong communication skills; written and verbal; able to clearly communicate over the phone/chat Willingness to learn Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience in retail or customer service related role (strong customer service experience essential) Interest in IT and computer science Excellent oral and written communication skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (office suite) applications Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (not applicable to temporary visa holders)
