The Position
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Officer role is responsible for the ongoing support of the many and varied technologies to maintain BAU. Technologies including but not limited to, workstations, printers, Wi-Fi, network infrastructure (both on-prem and cloud), systems, VoIP phone system. This role is a 24 month contract position.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to resolve Level 1 and 2 support desk incidents and service requests effectively, promptly, and courteously and ability to learn more complex issues.
Utilize technical skills (and learn) to support clients working in a Microsoft Windows 10 environment using O365 and MS Teams.
Installing/Rollout and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, and printers.
Proactively manage issues to define the root cause and recommend permanent solutions.
Escalation of high-risk incidents as appropriate.
User Administration – creating accounts for new users and clean-up of old accounts.
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.
Previous experience in a Desktop/ Help desk support L1-2 position
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
ITIL training and/or MS certification preferred.
Must have experience administering support to O365, and Windows 7/10 OS
Experience in Microsoft Server (2012 - 2022)
Strong communications and customer service skills
Excellent time management skills
