About you You will have a collaborative working style with a flexible attitude to a varied workload. You will need to be an organised and diligent individual capable of working across several projects. You will be professional and energetic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A team player with high attention to detail. Responsibilities Assists in preparing monthly financial reports as required, in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards Assists with maintaining and looking after the general ledgers across various businesses Preparing P&Ls and Balance Sheets for Australian owned businesses Preparing inter-company and month-end and year-end reconciliations Preparing and processing journal entries and processing some supplier invoices Preparing and processing monthly journals, accrual and prepayment journals, updating fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules Assists with preparing weekly cash flow reports Assisting in the preparation of annual FBT returns, Assisting with the budgeting process Assisting with ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to Assisting in process improvements and systems enhancement initiatives Experience & Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance, and CPA/CA qualifications (or studying towards) At least three to four years of relevant experience in the full range of financial accounting activities – including general accounting, financial analysis, and reports. Experience working with an ERP system. Advanced Excel (pivot and Vlookup) and other financial software skills Sound knowledge of accounting software Experience in working with QuickBooks and or Xero would be an advantage Sound understanding of accounting principles Process and deadline-driven mindset with a keen eye for detail Good organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills. Good level of analytical ability with superior attention to detail.
