Key job responsibilities
Be part of the team that shapes the Automation future in Networking
Use and develop tools and process that collect and rationalize data from different sources
Use and develop tools and frameworks to reduce our operations workload
Participate in an on call rotation with your team
Work closely with our Network Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth software roll-outs
Lead and ensure on-time delivery of our expansions and region builds
Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform issues with effective escalation of senior-level engineering teams
Contribute to documentation, process and procedures
Be involved in the formulation of a structured training
Design and recommend optimization for service delivery and fleets
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
· Three or more years of professional experience as a systems development engineer or in related occupations (systems administration, DevOps engineering, site reliability engineering, networking/automation, software/systems development)
· Experience working with Linux/Unix environments.
· Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as: Python or Java.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Understanding of the building blocks of computer networks
· Ability to architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate tools and services with a security, scalability, and performance mindset.
· Experience building services using AWS products.
· Experience building distributed systems or web services with a high degree of operational excellence
· Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
· Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
· Understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
· Ability to gather customer requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
