About the role
The Data Entry Operator is responsible for performing quality data entry of specimen request into the appropriate software; entering, updating, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded. The goal is to provide a professional customer service link between health professionals, their patients and the laboratory. Teamwork and cooperation between stakeholders is also a primary focus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities;
Provide a customer service based approach, displaying the Clinical Labs values and behaviours.
Adhere to Clinical Labs Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, including the Code of Conduct, relevant federal, state, territory legislation and NATA requirements
Contribute positively to a high quality, team focused, accurate and efficient work environment under the direction of the Manager or delegate.
Accurate and timely entry of data from specimen referrals into the appropriate computer data system.
Maintain a high quality, team focused, accurate and efficient work environment
Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the department.
Respond to urgent or time-sensitive requests as requested.
Respond to customer queries as requested.
Follow good documentation practices
