In-house Accountant Required
Our client requires a full-time In-house Accountant at its Dandenong VIC head office location. Our client owns and operates 79 locations around Australia and as such, this position seeks someone who is switched on and capable of handling large scale operations.
The main duties of this role include:
Overlooking all accounting and financial activities of all locations
Analysing operational costs, sales revenue and expenditure of locations strategically
Performing daily accounting tasks to support Management including accounts payable and receivables
Assisting with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
Managing expense reports, payments, reimbursements, entering financial transactions into internal system and reconciling invoices
Analysing accounting apps and systems and implementing improvements in internal control
Preparing cash flow statements, BAS and profit and loss statements
Verifying financial statements, bank statements, and other tax documents
Analysing financial performance and tax efficiency of each location separately and of the group as a whole
Analysing and suggesting improvement related to financial performance, budgetary plans, and cost reduction
Recording relevant transactions, summarising and finalising financial reports: cash flows, income statements and balance sheet
Filling out and assisting with preparation of business tax return reports
Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
Providing financial and taxation advice on business structure improvements and changes, plans and operations.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Bachelor level qualification in an Accounting or Finance related field, as well as a minimum of 3 Years prior experience.
The salary on offer is $60,000 - $70,000 plus super per annum and is commensurate with qualifications and/or experience.
