Graduate Accountant
Our client is seeking a motivated, driven Graduate Accountant to their dedicated and talented team in West Footscray.
Our client has a long history and reputation of being a trusted provider of engineered conveyor solutions to the mining and bulk handling sector.
With manufacturing plants, engineering fabrication workshops and a national network of service branches our client has the capability of quickly and safely offering its customers a complete customized solution. Their success has been built over a long period by having a talented team that works together to achieve incredible outcomes.
Due to the ongoing growth, a Graduate Accountant on a permanent full-time basis is required to support their accounting team. The role is based at their Head Office in West Footscray and will report to the National Commercial Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate, relevant and timely financial records
Actively contribute to the monthly management financial reporting process
Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations; compliance, audits and reporting within stipulated deadlines
Assist with operational forecast(s) for financial and operational reporting
Assist with stocktake of inventory to ensure accurate collection of date and provide reports on inventory status against plan
The successful candidate will have:
Recently completed your tertiary degree level qualification specialising in accounting
Have a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
Customer service driven attitude with excellent communication skills
The ability to represent the Company in a professional manner
Strong numeric competency
High attention to detail
