Reporting to the Business Manager, this role will be varied and will include, but not limit to the following duties:
Application engineering knowledge on Control Valves, Safety Relief Valves, Actuated Isolation Valves.
Thorough knowledge and proficiency in use of Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle based engineering software and tools
Use of Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle based pricing tools, navigating the software system to produce engineering drawings, manufacturing bill of materials and production schedule.
Ability to interpret customer supplied engineering standards and specifications to provide detailed compliance / deviation statement.
Understand and interpret customer data sheets, P&ID, PFD’s and process datasheets
Engineer suitable types of equipment to suit particular technical scenarios
Use of Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle software and catalogues for actuator and valve selection
Provide engineering support for customers and outside sales personnel
Thorough knowledge and proficiency in use of Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle based engineering software and tools
Review ITP's and ensure that customer specifications are correct
Understanding certification 3.1, 3.2, various NDE specifications, fire tests etc.
Implement and maintain quality systems
The ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrated experience using Emerson / Fisher First 2
Working knowledge of ITP's and Certification 3.1
At least 2 years’ experience in an Engineering role
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
Ability to develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
Strong analytical skills with a high level of initiative, drive and self-motivation
