Position Summary: Field/Workshop Plant Mechanic is responsible for carrying out service & repair on machinery on site as required and in service centers.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Performing periodical and preventative maintenance, carrying out repairs of earthmoving equipment with small engines.
• Diagnose, repair and service chainsaws, mixing station motors, other equipment fitted with small engines.
• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults with the help of manufacturer technical diagrams and workshop manuals.
• Dismantling, repairing, reassembling small engines and have them working again.
• Diagnosing and removing hydraulic pumps and hoses.
• Driving company service vehicle to attend breakdowns and onsite work.
• Some interstate travel.
• Professional interactions with customers, internal departments, and work colleagues.
• Being self-organized and on top of time-management.
• Carry out all work in-line with OH&S and company procedures. Key Performance Indicators:
