ABOUT THE ROLE: Due to recent market shifts toward zero emission vehicles and strong focus on the design and development of innovative new bus solutions – the Product Engineering Department is looking to build upon a strong design team. The purpose of this role is to produce efficient, creative vehicle designs which meet customer expectations, satisfy regulatory and safety requirements to professional engineering standards. The right candidate will supplement Mechanical Engineering resource capacity, producing design packages and BoMs for fabrication and assembly departments. RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Development Conceptual Design and Design Definition Production Monitoring and Support Engagement in Continuous Improvement activities Maintenance of Regulatory Compliance COMPETENCIES: Problem Solving and Decision-making skills Competency with 3D CAD software (Solidworks) General Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc,) Understanding of the Manufacturing Processes Effective communication skills, both verbal and written to document and deliver required content to the stakeholders Excellent organisation, problem solving and decision-making skills Strong work ethic and ability to communicate and collaborate with others.
