This is not a pure programming role, more that of a business analyst role in that you will engage with customers from early on in your career, thus being exposed to different companies and industries developing a broad skill level. The role will support multiple customer projects within a consultancy and analytical environment. Within this position the right candidate will be responsible for: •Monitoring and maintaining production systems; •Providing support to customers and documenting activity through the ticketing system. Attempt to solve the customers issues themselves prior to seeking help from a senior colleague/mentor; •Installing and configuring computer software; •script changes and updates to projects •Workflow configurations and updates. •Troubleshooting and problem solving •Setting up accounts for new users •Testing new technology; and •With the potential to grow into a consulting role
Essential Skills and Experience: •Basic SQL Knowledge •scripting/Programming Knowledge (VBA, C#, Python) •Concepts of database design •Like solving problems and strong mathematical and analytical skills •Strong MS Excel Skills •Relevant degree in Computer Science, Bachelor of Commerce, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting/Finance •In depth knowledge of Arbutus (103 level)
