What we are looking for As a Cloud Support Administrator, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes. • Performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain system performance to meet user demand • Reducing operational risk and improve availability of the server and network infrastructure & services by ensuring system access, monitoring, control, evaluation and documentation practices are maintained and adhered to • Developing, maintaining and performing operational procedures and ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages • Collecting and analysing operational data (especially incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and log problem records to assist with problem resolution and increased server/service availability. • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. • Anticipating and responding to customer requests for productivity applications, technologies and devices to provide timely installation, maintenance, support and optimization, specifically relating to the Cloud Service Catalogue
The things that are really (really) important • An understanding of the telco and cloud services provider industry, • A degree qualification in computing, information technology, or equivalent qualification in a field relevant to the position from a recognized tertiary institution, • ITIL V3/4 Foundation certificate, • Appropriate technical knowledge, experience, and industry certification as relates to: o Virtualisation – vSphere suite including vCenter, vRealize Operations Manager, vRealize LogInsight, vCloud Director, NSX-T o Storage – NetApp ONTAP o Data Protection – Veeam, Zerto, Rubrik o Microsoft – Patching, Creating/managing system permissions and user accounts, DNS administration o Public and Private networks and interconnections o Public & Private cloud deployments from leading suppliers (AWS, Azure) o Security Best Practices • 3-5 years working in an enterprise environment with mature incident, problem, change, and release management principles in place, • Demonstrated ability to: o Solve problems and think like a leader o Work independently and as part of a team o Learn quickly and adapt to changing situations
