About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as the Equipment Engineer you will work within the Engineering teams performing various duties to support the production performance through ensuring optimum equipment utilisation. The Equipment Engineer will be required to respond instantly to mechanical faults, failures, and breakdowns. The role requires the ability to fault find in a fast-paced environment.
Description:
1. Assist to design installation of factory equipment by applying plane 3D mechanical drawing software e.g. CAD and Solidworks;
2. Regularly monitor and repair machines at Braybrook/Oakleigh factories (Screen printing, pad printing, rotary screen printing and direct printing) to guarantee normal operation of the machines, reduce failures and prolong service life;
3.Take charge of acceptance, installation and commissioning of printing equipment and other support mechanical equipment (K840 Folding machine, Omni bagger, BBC flash Cure, sprint 3000 DHZ Gas Conveyor Dryer, etc.);
4. Track running of equipment software and hardware and solve running failures of equipment on the site in a real-time way;
5. Regularly collect data related to equipment failures, sort database and design data use pattern to reduce equipment failure rate;
6. Communicate with internal and external customers to rapidly respond to their requirements and establish good customer relations.
Skills and qualifications:
●Tertiary qualification in Engineering
●Minimum 3 years experience in relevant field is required
●Excellent skills in UG, CAD, Pro/E, Solidworks, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
●Well-developed technical skills and problem solving abilities
●Outstanding communication skills and attention to details
●Ideally you have strong knowledge in Manufacturing and Print industry requirements and are familiar with relevant machines and equipment
The Successful candidate will receive:
●$65,000 – $75,000 base salary super depending on experience.
