Our client is a broiler farm operating at Arriga 4880 Queensland. This position is full-time and may be required to work shifts including weekends.
Full-time Farm Supervisor / Manager for our operations. We are offering $80,000 plus superannuation to the right candidate.:
Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities
The poultry farm supervisor ensures the safety and efficiency of poultry farm operations.
A poultry farm supervisor also records data and creates reports on worker attendance, budget, supplies and animal growth and performance.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in raising broilers,
Maintaining equipment, maintenance schedules on poultry farm.
Confers with farm manager to ascertain production requirements and to discuss condition of equipment status of supplies.
Assigns workers to duties, cleaning and fumigating chicken houses.
Management of daily farm operations.
Liaison between farm operations, business office and management.
Adhere to and follows all safety procedures in accordance with training and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
Directs maintenance and repair of facilities equipment, like chicken houses, automatic feeders.
See to all bio security needs.
Prepare for audits for RSPCA, HACCP as well as the meat processor.
Work close with the field officer of Baiada Meat Processor
Performs other duties as assigned.
Participates in work activities to expedite workload.
Prepares worker attendance, feed consumption, and poultry mortality reports.
Additional responsibilities may include training of staff
Do the yearly operations budget.
Attending to alarms.
Qualifications:
Qualifications to become a farm supervisor include a diploma in animal production management.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on a poultry farm.
Management and supervisory experience.
Management & Leadership Ability to instruct and manage others constructively.
Good flock stockmanship.
First aid level 1
