Task and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Print Production team to understand every aspect of production related systems and processes to be able to deploy, modify or build customised network and I.T solutions, services and architecture, to streamline process efficiencies.
Working with Management, you will liaise closely with all stakeholders to understand new customer requirements, new product development and onboarding new clients. This will include building unique integration with customer platforms and customised, automated solutions specific to their needs.
Develop comprehensive documentation of all core and, in house, customised solutions that we have built over the last few years , but have not created documentation for ( such as training documentation, functionalities and design specifications). These include network systems which integrate the automated order processing and artwork imposition programs for a multitude of products across many printer types ( Indigo, Large Format, dye sublimation and inkjet), with the production software for print finishing tracking within the plant, and automated shipping programs that interface with carrier API’s and label creation.
You will be expected to analyse our current infrastructure, research potential improvement solutions and recommend purchase of external or development of internal and follow- through to implementation, testing and documentation of all I.T related solutions.
You will provide level one support for all production related network issues, including trouble shooting, repairs and installation of Print or computer equipment and VMS platforms, training staff and addressing any network or systems-related emergency breakdowns that would affect workflow.
Working with your superiors and stakeholders, you will take responsibility for all I.T Network, physical infrastructure, functionality, security, and performance to ensure maximum performance for production and interaction with clients and partners.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, plus proven experience in industry.
Experience Requirement:
At least 4 years of experience. as IT in printing industry.
Printing industry skill attained through “hands on” production is a preferred requirement.

4 years of relevant experience
Extensive understanding and hands-on expertise with essential networking and system concepts in printing industry.
Technical acumen to potentially train staff and customers
Competent and confident in the technical aspect of various products and print operating systems, and troubleshooting such as Indigo, Access, VMS platforms
A thorough understanding of networking, network architecture and security principles
Troubleshooting and fault detecting skill
Capability to organize and prioritize tasks, as well as a commitment to time management and quality
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills and Critical Thinking.
