The Company Accountant is responsible for maintain the financial reporting, budgeting, and performance reporting of the business, as well as management of accounts receivable, payable and payroll processes. The position will provide timely and accurate financial reporting to the Business Manager and Board of Directors to assist in decision making and strategic planning. This is a full-time position.
The Company Accountant will directly report the Business Manager and at times directly to the Company Directors and will be responsible for the following duties:
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the Board
Prepare the annual budget including liaising with operation and senior management staff
Work in conjunction with the Board Directors in relation to Business Strategies, initiatives and reporting including developing ad hoc financial reports to assist in board decision making
Manage the accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processes
Analyse income and expenses and provide financial advice to the Business Manager and Board to assist in decision making
Maintain all loan reconciliations
Liaise with suppliers and large customers to resolve issues as needed
Ensure all supplier agreements and other important agreements are maintained
Liaise with external accountants for audit and taxation purposes
Ensure accounting processes meet taxation reporting requirements including BAS, FBT and Income Tax
Liaise with banks and other funding institutions to ensure efficient management of company funds and funding to meet strategic and immediate objectives
Skills requirements
The successful candidate must have a bachelor degree, intermediate level qualifications in Chartered Accountancy and at least five years relevant work experience including a minimum of two years of audit experience from a reputed Audit Firm
