The company is a chartered accounting firm with a specialisation in accounting and financial reporting for SMSFs and other investment portfolios.
We currently seek an experienced accountant who is ready for a change and who has an interest in philanthropy, to specialise in the accounting for charitable foundations.
Key role & objectives
The Accounting Manager is responsible for working closely with the Accounting and Systems Manager and pro-actively leading and mentoring accounting team members ensuring the delivery of accounting services for clients, including Public Ancillary Fund clients and Private Ancillary Fund clients.
The primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and timely preparation of accounts and taxation and other statutory returns for the firm’s investment portfolio clients. This involves the application of accounting and financial systems knowledge, reviewing the work of other accountants in the team, and providing training and support to those accountants.
Pre-requisite Knowledge/Experience
Relevant accounting qualifications
A minimum of 8 years experience in business services accounting a necessity;
Proficiency with the Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook;
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in relation to transaction processing;
Knowledge of the High Net Worth client typical investment portfolio, with detailed knowledge of more complex investment structures and unlisted investment types;
Highly developed client service skills;
Experience in managing relationships with clients;
Experience with accounting software packages Xero and Class preferred;
Experience providing accounting services to foundations desirable
Management of offshore teams and awareness of cultural differences in the workplace.
Expected salary range is $75,000 to $85,000.
