• Developing strategy and roadmaps—our consultants help organisations turn their strategy into a tangible roadmap that can be realised with Databricks • Guiding clients as they implement transformational big data projects, including end-to-end development and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI applications • Collaborating with teams, both internal and external, working with project owners, sponsors and stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes to our customers while looking after our people • Designing and deploying Databricks platforms for any of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud • Using your data expertise to take a customer idea and turning it into a well-defined use case and then making it happen on Databricks • Streamlining the customer machine learning lifecycle and tightly integrate it with the rest of their data platform • Sharing your knowledge and opinions while remaining respectful of clients and other team members • Helping to grow Mantel Group’s reputation in the marketplace by delivering high quality consulting services to clients • Representing us within the Databricks community • Participating in events to raise awareness of our capability and building relationships with new clients and prospects • Helping to train, coach and mentor others within the team through on-the-job teaching, tutorials, hands-on training, presentations and other similar activities
If you’re the right Senior Data Engineer (Databricks) for us, you’ll have:
• Familiarity with a broad range of data engineering approaches, covering theoretical best practices and the technical applications of these methods • Demonstrable experience building and deploying data engineering pipelines into production, including using automation best practices for CI/CD • Proficiency in data languages: SQL and at least one of Python or Scala, or if you have both that’s awesome • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud, but it’s great if you have more • The ability to engage with senior level stakeholders and shape high level ideas into well-defined initiatives • Commercial data experience, ideally across different industries and organisations • Solid understanding of and previous exposure to different phases of a data project delivery lifecycle • A passion for data and Databricks, and how it can be used to transform, ideally with a connection to the data community • Understanding of how data teams work and the challenges that they face
