The employer is working with a stone fruit growing business with a proud production history and profitable supply contracts, successfully operating in Shepparton Victoria, as they seek their new Accountant. Our client is an energetic and rapidly growing agribusiness. With their products ranged in the main retailers and also enjoying growth in their profitable fruit packing operations, they are quickly growing out of their existing accounting and management arrangements, and now seek a dedicated in house Accountant to join their thriving business to propel them to greater success. Location Kaarimba Vic (Shepparton region) Tenure Full time - ongoing Responsibilities will include: Supervision of the production of company BAS and all regular bookkeeping activities; Production of internal management reporting (monthly and more frequently); Preparing financial statements for various stakeholders; Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies; Examining and recording operating costs, income and expenditure; Providing financial advice for the business; Operation and maintenance of the inhouse accounting system; Month-end activities; Input to the ongoing development of company budget and accounting policies; Preparation of financial reports, with a focus on accuracy and their compliance with statutory requirements; Stat Accounts across all reporting cycles; Quality Assurance around statutory reporting and compliance obligations and Supervision of subordinate staff who look after payroll and bookkeeping matters To be considered, we expect to see: Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or similar; Well-developed problem solving skills; Great communication and management skills; Office and up to date accounting software skills; and Strong working knowledge of Australian accounting standards and applicable taxation law At least 3 years or more professional experience obtained since graduation
