Your Role
You will join our stellar R&D team as a deep learning engineer, shaping our future products as we enter an exciting stage of growth and expansion. You’ll work closely with the R&D and product teams to develop new algorithms and models for medical image analysis, drive new experiments and tackle some complex clinical problems. You will have the unique opportunity to bring some of the most advanced medical image analysis products into hospitals and increase efficiency for healthcare providers.
About You
You’re curious, enjoy researching and solving complex problems and are excited about bringing the latest medical technology into hospitals. You have a strong background in machine learning, especially deep learning, are great at python programming and don’t shy away from statistical and mathematical modeling. You enjoy keeping up to date with the latest research and literature.
Key responsibilities
Developing and validating CV/DL models on biomedical images Developing solutions for real world problems like noisy labels and high class imbalance Keep up to date with the literature and apply state-of-the-art algorithms Propose and author journal articles, conference articles, and white papers Tune and improve existing DL models to optimise speed and performance Defining problem statements, proposing best algorithm approaches and validation plans Verifying and validating results using statistical methods Work with product team on problem discovery, decision making on when ML solutions are appropriate, and drive ML component of projects Quick iteration with implementation of different solutions with trackable weekly goals Performing data preparation and curation of data labels
Requirements
Proven experience in DL/ML techniques with demonstrated understanding of computer vision-based deep learning Proven strong fundamentals in math, probability, statistics and DL algorithms Extensive experience in coding with Python and ML/DL frameworks (Tensorflow/Pytorch) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to haves
Familiarity with productionising ML projects Familiarity with AWS AI and ML platforms Familiarity with version control (git/dvc) Experience with real world ML development Publishing track record in deep learning
