About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be required to assist the Project with all facets of project execution. Your responsibilities will include subcontractor management, procurement and purchasing, preparation of documentation, development and assisting with input into project schedules and ensuring the work is completed to a high standard with regarding to quality, safety and schedule. Key Operational Responsibilities
Subcontractor management including quote evaluation and subcontract establishment.
Development and assisting with input into project schedules.
Project reporting and progress claims.
Procurement and purchasing.
General technical and engineering activities.
Development of quality assurance documentation including MDR, work pack, ITP’s and ITR’s
Preparation of documentation ensuring project compliance with Australian standards, client specifications and project plans and procedures.
Undertake site inspections as required and directed for individual projects to ensure site conditions are considered in the design process

Maintain document control
Preparation of progress claims
Assist in client liaison
Coordinate crews, subcontractors and scope of work
Procurement of materials and forecasting project costs
Oversee environmental, quality and safety aspects of the project
Participate in appropriate training as required
Undertake other duties as required

Lead in developing a committed culture in meeting company HSEQ objectives and management systems
Take personal responsibility to ensure adherence to all company HSEQ policies and procedures
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Personal attributes & Knowledge
Civil Engineering Degree
1-2 years’ experience in civil / mining construction projects
Valid Driver’s License and Construction White Card
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Able to work on remote/metropolitan sites when required (occasionally ay short notice)
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Process oriented, with the ability have tasks specific focus and multi task; and
Attention to detail and understand the concept of high standard compliance.
Past experience working on remote sites
Proven experience with subcontractor management
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with bulk earthworks and road building.
