The farm is situated at Kyvalley Victoria. The business has an exciting opportunity for a Dairy Cattle Farmer who is passionate about cows and the farming environment.

THE POSITION
This full-time permanent position includes a range of knowledge and experience in the following areas: -
• Milking
• Artificial insemination
• Feed management and delivery
• Herd health and animal husbandry
• Hoof trimming
• Cow observations
• Heifer management
• Managing teams
• Vaccination/record keeping
• Work, health and safety standards and requirements
• General farming and farm activities
• Tractor and mixer wagon driving
Irrigation knowledge an advantage.
The expected hours are minimum of 45 – 50 hours per week , 5 days on 2 days off per week. The renumeration package range is between $67,860-$78,200 ,depending upon experience plus superannuation and may include the provision of on-farm accommodation.
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
Must have a minimum of 7-10 years of Dairy farming experience, including the management of other employees, OR an Agriculture degree and 2 years of experience.
Other Agricultural Certificate qualifications an advantage
• A current drivers’ license.
• A real interest in learning and developing new skills.
• The ability to be an effective manager and communicator.
