Job Description: Based at Garden Island Naval Base, this is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer to help manage the day-to-day operations on a current Defence contract. This is a permanent role offering ongoing support and encouragement to advance towards a Project Manager role in the future. Responsibilities include: Planning and coordination of works, equipment and personnel Compiling and creating QA/QC documentation Coordinating direct labour workforce, suppliers and sub-contractors Programming and scheduling works Quantity take-offs Ensuring compliance with HSECQ requirements ABOUT YOU Ideally you will have at least 5 years’ post graduate experience within the Defence sector as well as: Additional experience with wharf construction or remediation (highly beneficial) Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Civil Engineering or similar discipline The ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships An understanding of the bigger picture and ability to self-manage own workload while working well in a team Proven problem-solving ability and can ‘think outside the box’ Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines A police clearance dated within 12 months (or a willingness to obtain one - we will reimburse the fee is successful!)
