The Role
Our rail infrastructure team support the technical advisory & design delivery of large-scale major projects across Victoria. We are seeking a CAD Lead (Rail) to join our rail team working on several high-profile, city-shaping projects including Suburban Rail Loop, Geelong Fast Rail, Melbourne Airport Rail, Level Crossing Removal Program and other upcoming projects in both the design development and delivery phases.
Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:
Management of Microstation & AutoCAD setup, templates & deliverables, including writing of CAD Management Plans and inputting into Digital Delivery Plans
Management of ProjectWise user access, general file maintenance, file deletion and general usage assistance (new ISO 19650 workflows)
Working with CAD Leads to ensure deliverables are consistent across disciplines and compliant with PTV standards
Understanding of PTV standards for checking drawings and providing mark-ups
Liaising with the over-arching leadership team to help implement project wide processes and provide training
Supporting teams with Microstation, AutoCAD & ProjectWise assistance
What we are looking for:
Proven background working on rail projects with a development and/or delivery focus
Advanced knowledge of Microstation and ProjectWise software
Experience in digital information management, model-based design delivery, Navisworks, Revizto and AutoCAD experience will be an advantage
Experience in managing and delivering works in line with PTV DMS Drafting standards and associated MTM, V/Line and ARTC standards will be highly regarded
