The Role Application Engineer (Mechanical) helps our customers solve complex engineering problems using innovative CAE technologies. The role will involve a range of activities that include: Technical services and consulting Pre and post-sales technical support Technology demonstrations Training and mentoring Our customer base includes a significant number of engineering companies, in Australia and New Zealand, across a range of sectors who rely on us for engineering services. Sound knowledge in the fundamentals of numerical methods, specifically CFD and FEA, is essential to deliver effective solutions to our customers. Application Engineers have a unique opportunity to work across engineering sectors and gain knowledge and experience that is unrivalled in the engineering services sector. Qualifications Candidates with a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or associated fields with a strong academic history are preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 2-4 years of CAE experience. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Ansys Mechanical, Ansys Fluent and Ansys Ls-Dyna. Candidates must have 2-4 years of programming experience in Python. Candidates with extensive experience in Ansys Mechanical scripts and a portfolio of Ansys Customization Toolkits (ACTs) applications. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively to external stakeholders and translate it into technical requirements. Candidates should have experience in an account management role where the responsibilities include the development and growth of assigned accounts. Candidates must be currently residing in Australia with full working rights and be willing to relocate to Melbourne, Victoria.
