ABOUT THE POSITION: Due to increased workload in the Engineering Department, a position has become available for a Mechanical Engineer. In this position, you'll be working closely with the Senior Mechanical Engineer on variety of works related to maintenance of plant and design and erection of mechanical installations. This role is suited to an engineer who is able to work with limited supervision. DUTIES: Provide sound engineering input to scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities. Support Operational and Maintenance teams by providing timely engineering information and solutions. Ensure technical reports are maintained to high standard. Ensure statutory compliance is maintained in respect to mechanical equipment installation and maintenance. Carry out, review and manage mechanical design on various process improvements. Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each program. Solicit vendors, service providers and other support groups to maximise plant reliability. Computer-aided design/modelling software Use computer-aided design/modelling software. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Tertiary degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 2 years work experience in a similar role Prior technical and detailed design skills Fantastic communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently with limited guidance and supervision.
