The company specialise in manufacturer of metal Products and Structures and provide related engineering services. They design, manufactures, distributes, and supplies products to a wide range of industries including Power, Telecommunication, Railway, Water, Roads and Building companies involved in construction and infrastructure projects across Australia. Their manufacturing facility is based in Dandenong, Victoria.
The company is currently looking for experience mechanical engineer to join their team on permanent full-time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaise with clients and operations to accurately determine the customer requirements from a technical perspective.
Interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications and CAD files.
Design and provide technical specifications, drawing and instructions.
Direct the production team to follow the design during various manufacturing processes.
Prepare productions schedules and cost estimations including materials and labour planning
Supervise the design and manufacturing processes ensuring optimum resource utilisation
Define and develop CNC manufacturing programs and process work instructions
Ability and experience in CAD/CAM to setup CNC machines.
Automate, develop, and implement machining processes for new products.
Undertake the general maintenance of tools and machinery on regular basis and manage maintenance schedules
Qualification and Experience:
Mechanical Engineering Degree (or similar)
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience preferably in engineering design or manufacturing
Excellent communication and technical expertise in mechanical engineering
Passionate and willingness to learn quickly
