Educational requirements: Bachelor

English requirements: Competent English

Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 5-8 years

Required residence status: Temporary visa

Accept remote work: Accept during COVID-19 restrictions only

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: • Own the financial reporting process for the Group • Preparation of ASX reporting requirements including but not limited to Appendix 4D and 4E • Preparation of monthly consolidated Group accounts for P&L and balance sheet • Preparation of statutory financial statements for the consolidated Group and other entities as required • Implementation of applicable accounting standards into Group reporting, including but not limited to hedge accounting (AASB9) and lease accounting (AASB16) • Preparation of technical accounting papers for complex transactions and accounting issues • Preparation and review of GL reconciliations on a monthly basis • Assistance with Investor Relations requirements as necessary • Review of accounting practices across the Group to ensure consistency of application of accounting standards • Implementation of process and control improvements across the finance function • Assistance in ATO tax filing requirements include corporate tax return • Assisting with other business and finance systems projects to improve processes and reporting for the group REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Qualifications: CA/CPA qualified with first time passes Experience: Extensive experience in a similar business to business based role. Exposure to the automotive industry is preferred but not essential. Skills and Knowledge: Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent technical accounting knowledge and highly computer literate (particularly in Excel). Strong project management skills and an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. This role will attrach an annual salary of $120,000 to $140,000 and will be based in our Sydney office.
