Rapidly growing international fashion brand is seeking to employ an experienced Management Accountant on a full time basis to help guide the next phase of business growth. The successful applicant will be integral in ensuring that the accounting systems and procedures are robust and provide timely and meaningful management reports to the Directors.
As a senior member of the management team, the successful applicant will be required to be:
Able to develop and maintain timely, accurate financial statements, reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecast and report variances
Ensure all statutory requirements of the organisation are met including withholding payments, Income Tax, goods and services tax
Overseeing the management of all accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, GL and counsel, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Manage cash flow and support month-end and year-end close process.
Develop and document key business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Contribute to business decisions to support ongoing profit, cash flow and growth
To lead key finance projects as necessary
Skills and Qualifications
2 years experience and knowledge of online retail operations will be an advantage
Proficiency in Numbers and finance softwares preferably Xero
Must be hands on and willing to help out where required
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skills, problem solving and attention to detail
Experienced in international import and export logistics and material management
Experienced in inventory management and analytic reporting in online sales platforms, including Etsy and Shopify
Sound knowledge and experience with document preparation and taxation reporting in relation to international sales
