ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Systems Analyst, you oversee the maintenance and improvement of computer systems for Digital Alchemy. In modifying and developing new and existing systems you ensure accuracy and effectiveness are maintained whilst mitigating any possible risks. The system analyst is also responsible for supervising and supporting any system upgrades and fixes to ensure minimal interruption of business as usual
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and upgrade existing systems.
• Design and deploy new systems and frameworks. Troubleshoot technical issues and outages.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on projects, providing recommendations to resolve issues and ensure solutions are viable and consistent.
• Create guidelines and manuals, develop system plans and documentation for users.
• Review and evaluate existing systems regularly to ensure consistent efficiency, quality and integrity, in doing so also propose modifications to systems for optimal business practices.
• Ensure risks are mitigated.
• Work with users to formulate system requirements and document processes. • Provide guidance and assistance in the system project decision-making process. • Provision servers, network, and storage infrastructure.
• Liaise with vendors and technical contacts.
Skill and Experience Required:
• At least 2 years of experience working as a system administrator or system analyst with exposure to networks, applications and databases
• Familiarity with Apache, MySQL, JIRA and Confluence, Nagios, SAN storage will be highly regarded Solid understanding of network admin (LAN, VPN, firewalls, switching, routing, remote access)
• Excellent English communication
• Working knowledge of mainstream Cloud solutions technology such as Amazon Cloud, Google Cloud or Azure
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related fields
