The company is seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Manager to lead the department. This candidate needs to be a self-motivated individual with substantial brand strategy and comms development and execution experience. It is preferred if the candidate has a deep understanding of the plant-based category, with strong vision for its direction and potential. Responsibilities include:
Insights - Conduct consumer research to inform brand positioning and innovation pipeline
Brand Strategy - Conceptualise & develop strategic initiatives and manage agency to build brand positioning refresh
Media Strategy – Using the brand strategy, establish media objectives and manage agency to build out the media specific strategy and identify key media channels
Communication – Lead the creative process with agency to arrive at a compelling creative idea for the brand, managing its execution across channels with consistency
Design - Act as the key guardian of brand assets and their dissemination, managing all design updates
Innovation - Generate concepts based on robust insights, building out the full brand and commercial proposition, ready for persuasive sell-in presentations for retailers and customers
Manage External Partners - Manage all external marketing partners such as PR, Media, Creative, Freelance Designer, Digital Media and Production Companies
People Management – Manage and train Marketing Coordinator
Business Development – Lead category review presentations for all major customers (Woolworths, Coles, Coles Express, Caltex, 7-Eleven, Costco and Harris farm), and identify new channel opportunities (in grocery, foodservice and export)
Cross Functional Management – Work closely with R&D, Operations and Sales to manage the roll out of brand plans in a smooth and timely manner
Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree
8 years’ proven experience developing marketing insights, plans and campaigns
Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred: Understanding of the plant-based category
