About the Role As a member of our team, you will be allocated a broad range of audit tasks across several audit engagements. Although we are very team-oriented, you will find this role at times to be fairly autonomous, and provides you with the flexibility to manage your own workload. Your responsibilities would include: Working to audit objectives and working with a team of auditors to complete an effective audit process Identifying and reporting on client financial risks with regard to external financial reporting requirements Executing and delivering on a variety of external audit client engagements in an effective and methodical manner Assisting with the preparation of high-quality audit reports and related documentation Supervising and mentoring junior team members on each project engagement team to continually develop the team’s skills and experience Building successful client relationships with a positive “can do” attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities Skills & Experience Previous audit experience as an External Auditor (2 years minimum, Australian or highly relevant international based experience preferred) CA or CPA qualified or currently being undertaken is preferable Strong oral and written communication skills enabling you to deal directly and effectively with staff, clients and other stakeholders Eager to learn and develop skills to further your career Problem solving and analytical skills to provide effective solutions for our clients and prevent risk Sound knowledge of IFRS and Australian Auditing Standards Strong financial audit experience with government engagements (VAGO, NSWAO, etc) Working knowledge of CaseWare financial audit software is preferred
